I wanted to BE David Bowie when I was in my teens. He was a huge influence in my life. Yesterday a local coffee shop was playing his music all day and as I stood waiting on my coffee, I shed a tear listening to Rebel Rebel, my anthem song when I was 14. He will leave a great empty space in this world.....
I know, his songs were impactful on my younger days too. His voice, unique. His writing, innovative. Brilliant. A master of re-invention. Unique in every way. There'll never be another like him. Ever.
This is very sweet Vicki; using his own songs is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteHe aged rather well didn't he?
Thank you, River.
DeleteHe was a genius, a renaissance man, a beautiful soul.
Lazarus; wow, it's almost like he is saying goodbye.
ReplyDeleteYes, he is.
DeleteHe knew.
Brilliant to the last.
What a legacy.
The world is a smaller, darker place without him. And richer because he was here.
ReplyDeleteI so agree.
DeleteAn amazing talent, lost...at least his work will live on.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria

DeleteGone too young.
