I love that quote, Vicki. I would add, "and my cats, and skunks, and raccoons and...well, all animals!" I watched a movie years ago, I believe the title was "Ffolkes," starring Sir Roger Moore. He played this quirky, but extremely tough, retired military man who now specialized in taking out terrorists. He had a lot of cats and when one of his male visitors made some disparaging remark about cats, he turned a stare on him that would freeze fire and said, in a cold, threatening tone, "I like cats. I don't like people who don't." I love that guy!
It's very applicable to your animals on your magical mountain, Victoria :)
That quote by Roger Moore's character reminds me of the saying about being suspicious of people who don't like dogs (and all animals), but trusting a dog when he/she doesn't like a person. So true.
ditto to every single comment here by you and your wonderful followers! and such a picture. the love and cozy. well. lifts up my whole day. give our blue boy a huge hug from his auntie tam. XOXO
Thank you Tam. I think we here all share the same sentiments when it comes to our dear animal companions :) Big hug delivered to Mr. Jack - and a kiss to the top of his head too. ♥♥
Well, you KNOW that I feel this way. Yes, sometimes I could pretty much do without most people but not without my fur-kids. On that note, thank you so much for your comment on my blog the other day. You have such a lovely way with words, your condolences had me sobbing as I read them. Thank you SO much, you will never know how much that meant to me. XOXO
I do know how you feel, Cindi. And sometimes, there are days when we only want to be with our fur babies - their quiet constancy are our rocks in this crazy world.
Thinking of you in these sad days my dear. Little Ruby touched many hearts, and her passing has been felt around the world. Warm hugs to you xxx
And whosoever doesn't love my hound (or cat) doesn't loveth me. And I cannot love them.
ReplyDelete... and a hearty amen to that!
