After

One too many hot cross buns, an indulgent amount of chocolate eggs and an oh, so delicious Lindt bunny, I now feel like this lovely lady.

And, I enjoyed every mouthful.

  1. I hope your smile is bigger than hers though. She is stunning, and I resemble her rather more than I care to think myself.

    1. Yes, my smile is guilt free and bigger. My backside is comparable to hers too :D

  2. Oh, I know how you feel. Just when I've managed to lose the pounds I added during the last holiday, along comes another one! From Christmas to Easter is a dangerous time for my waistline (what's left of it). I'm ok through the summer holidays...but then along comes Halloween! Thank goodness Thanksgiving isn't celebrated with any form of chocolate. And, as I get older, it gets harder to get rid of those 'holiday' pounds. Oh well, if I eventually wind up looking like the generously proportioned statue lady at least my tummy will be happy!

    Blessings,

    Victoria

    1. It's a shame our society doesn't revere a generous and ripe female form. I would be considered a goddess then, haha!

  3. haha.. It's the same here too, Vicki! I'm suddenly feeling the need of going on a real diet! But in the meantime, yes, let's just consider ourselves voluptuous goddesses! ;o) Happy Days ((LOVE & HUGS))

  5. I plead guilty to overindulgence of hot cross buns. There's nothing like a warm spicy bun fresh out of the oven, slathered in butter. Yum..... Thank goodness for elasticised waistbands - ha, ha!

I don't eat chocolate, although my Swede eats enough for both of us, then some more (and annoyingly he remains toothpick thin!). And the only bunnies I saw this weekend were the furry, hopping kind trying to outrun Miss Sophie.

    1. Love the spicy scent of easter buns that fill the whole house. Another reminder that winter is on its way.
      I can't imagine life without chocolate - I'd feel very deprived :)
      Hugs to Miss Sophie.

  6. Did my comment not come through? I was typing it on my iPhone outside the MCG yesterday afternoon. Going to the football is so stressful, I simply do not enjoy it anymore. I had a meltdowney/panic thing afterwards which seems to point to that fact, for me.

Anyway, I love that statue. She is just AMAZING :) Glad you enjoyed your chocolate feast, Ms V

    1. Uh, this is your first comment on this post, Sue. But, I do know some people have had a few probs with comments not going through at all.
Technology - like most things - great when it works, a real pain when it doesn't :)

I love this statue too. She's a Rubenesque beauty.
Chocolate feast not quite over yet. And next... chestnuts!

    2. That's funny you mentioned chestnuts - I've just written a bit about the Kalorama Chestnut Festival for weekend notes and now I'm craving to go - chestnut beer! Roasted chestnuts! Chestnut soap!

Yay, autumn. Your favourite time of the year, I recall? It's so sensuous - lots of texture and dappled things :)

    3. Autumn. Always has been my time of year. The world slows a little, and savours the cooler season to come.
Everything seems better in Autumn :)
I was going to have a stall at the Chestnut Festival, but it's on the same weekend as the last Red Hill market before their winter break, and I wasn't sure I'd have enough stock left over.
