There's been some pea-soupy evenings on the mountain lately, and our walks have been almost dream-like in the silent, cloudy, chilled atmosphere.
Speaking of surreal, and because I'm craving some sun drenched lavender goodness right about now, here's a bit of fantasy fun ~
Have a happy weekend everyone!

Love your foggy morning - they are sooooo beautiful. Perhaps a touch melancholy, but beautiful just the same.
ReplyDeleteAnd balloons have my heart. Balloons, lavender and glorious light? Bliss.
I love walking in the fog. It's all so silent and, truly, as if in a dream. The world seems so far away as everyday sounds are subdued to a muffle.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do enjoy balloons in the sky. I get really excited when I see them.
I think perhaps, a ride in one will have to be on my bucket list :)
Do it if you can. It is magical. Beautiful and serene.
DeleteWhat an awesome world where we have both foggy Ferny Creek mornings and balloon rides over lavender fields. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right!
DeleteAnd so fortunate to be able to enjoy the experiences :)
my little dog zeke and i walked in all kinds of weather. our favorite was mist and fog.
ReplyDeletewell ... his favorite was also SNOW! LOL.
once we got totally lost in our own neighborhood. sounds weird? well... we'd gone a long way. kept winding and winding... and the fog was so thick you couldn't see to the end of the block.
i finally made sense of it.
we came home worn out and slightly damp... but oh so happy!
i love your picture of the fog.
the lavender's lovely too.
XOXO
Oh, I can so see you and little Zeke meandering in the mist and playing in the snow.
DeleteInseparable buddies :)
It's easy to imagine getting lost in the fog. This morning was so very thick that everything but the few feet in front of us was totally immersed - incredible!

Oh, I am loving that foggy morning photo! I look at it and take a deep breath...and there I am, breathing in the cool, damp air, feeling it on my face...thank you, Vicki, for posting that and giving me a brief break from heat and sun!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria
Thank you Victoria. There is something lovely and almost magical about the fog - like having the clouds kiss your skin.
DeleteIt feels like you're in another world sometimes :)
Hoping that a cool change comes to your beautiful mountain very soon.
Beautiful photos! We are finally getting our summer fog back and had a lovely misty day. Mist falling through redwoods, and on the coast, it makes for the most wonderful swim-walk in its "pea-soupy goodness." It does make the landscape look surreal.
ReplyDeleteWow Charlene, I can only imagine how amazing it must be to swim in water surrounded by fog - now that's surreal and conjures up wonderful images :)
DeleteI want to be in one of those balloons.
ReplyDeleteI'll join you in the basket :)
DeleteLove a cloudy morning and purple balloons over a purple field just perfect.
ReplyDeleteMerle........................
Thanks Merle.
DeleteGrey, moody fog, sunshine and purple... perfect indeed :)
