Update

I know many of you were also wishing that darling Zoe would soon find a "forever home".

I have just read an update from Pet's Haven.  She, along with some of her friends, have been adopted by wonderful families this week.

I shed a tear (or two). I sighed. And said, "thank you" to the Universe.

  1. Thank you. I worried and am so very happy to hear that they have their forever homes. And yes a tear or two here as well.

    1. I am so grateful that this shelter works so hard to find good homes for their orphans. I was very attached to Zoe - even after only knowing her a few moments.

P.S. Thanks for identifying those plants for me on my Thursday post. Most appreciated!

    1. I knew you'd be especially happy for sweet Zoe. I asked the Universe, that if I couldn't take her in, then may a wonderful, loving home be found for her very soon. I couldn't bear to think of her alone in that enclosure for too long.
I have been so heartened to read how many also fell for Zoe, and wished her well.
      A happy ever after tale.

And, if you don't already have the Dierama (Fairy's Fishing Rods) in your lovely garden, perhaps you might consider them? They are such delightful plants, especially in flower.
One day, I'll have a cottage garden again, and will include them for sure. xx

    dear vicki,
since you are a "no reply blogger," i am saying thank you to you here, for your comment in my blog.

thank you much, for loving the painting (of night and the lanterns) which i'm using as my header now. i so love it!!!! when i came across it, i just "had" to have it, as a header. with a click-able link to where i found it, of course.

ohhhh brave you! to have worn a realistic spider clip in your hair, when younger. i love it!!!! funny thing is, when i was younger, i wouldn't have had the guts. now, at 77, i'd probably do it!!! lol!

re: your comment in my blog.... "Eating fresh corn, while the natural sugar content is highest just after picking, is so delicious!"

thank you for this knowledge! about the sugar content. "bj farms" corn is picked in the morning, put in big bags, and trucked over to their stands, which open at noon. so it is fresh. and the sugar content is "out-of-this-world"! ,-) i don't need to put butter on them. just salt. yummmmm....

    1. I so miss having the availability of corn picked straight off the stalk. Even raw, it was sweet and delicious :)
